Theft of money - a bill - from a drawer in the state room of a ship called The Commerce. Prosecutor on hearing of prisoner's committal left Neath to avoid being bound over to prosecute. The ship was later shipwrecked off Waterford, Ireland on 22 Feb. 1811. The committing JP believed that the local constable had also been bribed by prisoner's relatives. No indictment. more
