Manslaughter of William Lewis Owen, prosecutor's husband? Prisoner, in company with others had been shooting 'with gun powder and a little brown paper in order to see if John Davies's horse would stand fire.' Deceased had been riding the horse when the prisoner aimed and pressed the trigger after checking the gun's contents. The bill of costs records that an indictment for murder was returned as not guilty of murder, but guilty of manslaughter,the grand jury engrossing a new bill of indictment. See also Lewis W.
