Poisoning with intent to murder the prosecutor with white arsenic and blue stone or sulphate of copper. Prisoner was the father of the prosecutor's bastard daughter, and had paid for her maintenance until an order of filiation was made against him. When he promised to marry the prosecutor he brought cake and cherries to give to his twenty two month old daughter. The prosecutor suspected they were contaminated after seeing a white substance on the cherries. more
