Malicious damage to turnpike. One examinant indicates that the prisoner agreed to apply for provision to take stones from Penmaen Rocks, where he worked 'through the side bar at Colwyn Bridge free of Toll until the old road...was widened'. However, 'the stone posts from which the chains were suspended' were immediately damaged. The petition indicates that the prisoner's wages were reduced due to the erection of the toll gate and that no warning had been given of its erection. more
