Theft of food, barley. Prosecutor had bought barley at the market at Whitchurch, Denbigh, and had hired Randle Holland, Hanmer, co. Flint, to carry the same to Wrexham, co Denb. The cart was stopped on the bridge by John Lloyd, Bangor-on-Dee, who enquired if the cart was owned by Randle Holland or hired. Barley was taken by the prisoner and divided between several unknown persons. It was known that 'several outrages had been committed by the people of the country in taking corn from people who carried it from one market town to another'. Related to food riot.
