Denb. - a superstition entertained by some that a person could not 'prosper either in body or estate' until the person's name was extracted from the well. Three similar counts - two refering to prisoner paying the 'usual fees' to the woman who kept the well to remove the prisoner's name. Prisoner aged 39. more
