Theft of food, cheese from the inn of Robert Evan, Machynlleth, innholder. The prosecutor had bought the cheese at a fair in Dolgellau, co. Mer. The cheese had been brought to Machynlleth by a carrier who delivered the same to Evan Griffith, Llanfihangel Genau'r-glyn, co. Card. yeoman, who left the same in Robert Evans' buttery. Prosecutor lodged the night at Machynlleth. Prisoner also suspected of stealing pewter although not indicted for this. Indicted twice for the fact, the other - no. 34 in this file - for stealing a bag containing an old shift at the same time. more
