Prisoner, 'about 38 years of age, 5 feet 41/2 inches high, pale complexion, light hair, bald at the top part of his head, his whiskers inclined to be sandy, grey eyes, thin nose rather prominent; was formerly a soldier in the Hereford Militia; has been in the habit , for the last 15 years, of attending fairs in Wales, along with a set of strollers as a showman, and generally plays the fiddle'. Prisoner escaped from prison in 1817; see 'Carmarthen Journal', 31.10.1817, for advertisement. Same documents also for his wife, Elizabeth Hore, supposedly 'performing in some part of Wales', and his eldest son. No indictment. more
