Murder of John Jones in a fight following a dispute. The prisoner and the deceased after playing ball 'on the same side' with others, entered an alehouse. The deceased collected the reckoning and noticed a bad shilling among the money collected. The prisoner immediately stripped in order 'to fight the person whoever he was that said that he had paid the bad shilling'. The deceased struck the prisoner first. more
