Enclosure riot - destroying fences set up and approved by an Act of Parliament. The other three named prosecutors being Richard Hill, Stellington, co. Staffs, Matthew Fletcher, Clifton, co. Lancs, and Josiah Boydell, Allington, co. Denb, whose father Thomas had been 'agent of several estates' and had bought enclosed land. See also D. G.
