Murder of Arthur Bedward, Beguildy, tailor, by beating him with a stake. Prisoner and deceased had supped with others at the Fleece Inn, Knighton, where deceased paid one examinant for mutton. Prisoner and deceased left inn together, Harley saying 'that he would accompany [Bedward] home." Prisoner aged 22. Deceased had denied that he was drunk. Prisoner suspected of theft of watch and money. more
